Gratz to the guild on our best push into ICC so far. In 3 hours we downed 6 bosses finishing just after 12AM with a very clean RotFace kill. Nice job all around. Study up on Putricide we go after him on Monday.

Hey everybody!
I just wanted to let everyone know that as of tonight, I am no longer going to be playing WoW. As such, I am obviously going to be stepping down as raid leader and an officer, and will in fact be canceling my account completely.
This may or may not seem sudden to some, but the fact is that for the last couple months I simply haven’t enjoyed the game as I used to. In fact, pretty much the only reason I’ve logged into the game at all in the last couple months was to chat; it just seemed more productive to also do the raids and what not since I was online anyway. Anyway, given that I no longer enjoy it, it simply doesn’t make any sense to continue spending 10+ hours a week playing it when I could be spending the time doing other things I do enjoy; plus, I can’t really justify spending $15 a month for a game I don’t like any longer.
I know I put that pretty bluntly, and while it is the truth, please don’t make the mistake of thinking that I stopped enjoying the people in the game (aka, you guys). I’ve enjoyed gaming with you guys and will probably miss all the chat, but like I said, I can’t really justify committing 10+ hours a week and a monthly payment just for chat. To that end though, for anyone that is interested, I am currently on Facebook and can usually also be found on AIM (ask Tankz for the screen name if you want it). Feel free to contact me via either system.
As far as who exactly will be taking over the raid leader position, we haven’t completely figured that out yet, but I’m sure a decision will be made on that front shortly.

Good Evening OiF!
I just wanted to take a minute to let everyone know there has been a slight change in OiF’s officer lineup. As of tonight, Stevish is being added to Tankz, myself, Vezina and Karm as OiFs fifth officer. He will be primarily concerned with recruitment at the moment, but will of course have all the other authorities and everything that the other officers all have.
We made this decision because he has consistently been here to help the guild when needed. He also consistently sets up instance runs for the guild and has recruited several of the people currently in the guild.
So thanks, Stevish for your previous and future efforts, and congratulations.

Sorry for the semi-late post, but for those of you that have not yet heard (I know Vez was trying to spread the word already) we are going to be having a brief guild meeting before the raid tonight. It will start promptly at 8, so please try to be on time so the guild can get input from everyone that is interested in providing any. It is going to be a very informal meeting, and while a simple agenda has been prepared, please feel free to think about any issues, questions or concerns you’d like to bring up, since this will be a perfect opportunity to do so.

We are going to try to do Onyxia and ToCR tonight. The thought is that people probably need a short break from Ulduar, so we want to try something a little different tonight. If we finish Ony and ToCR with time left, we may hit a couple bosses in Ulduar as well, but the main focus will be Onyxia and ToCR.

Hey Folks,
We are going to try to throw together a Naxx 10 run for anyone that is interested. It will take place at around 9pm server time tonight (10/16). The hope it that this will help get some of our new 80s and new members geared up for our current content level. To that end, we will be trying to shoot for a high ratio of lesser geared players to get the most out of the run. Depending on turnout, we may switch it to Naxx 25, but we will have to wait and see.

Ohm is Futile has officially cleared the antechamber! After some brief iron council stumbling on Wednesday, we bounced back to kill them, destroy Kologarn and decimate Auriaya (with no wipes, btw). See below for a screen shot of OiF showing Kologarn what we think of him. As Colbert would say: Freya, you’re on notice!

Raid signups have been posted for tomorrow. We will be doing three attempts at Onyxia (or hopefully just one) and then moving on to Ulduar.
Please make sure you have all your consumables, fully repaired armor, and a beginning understanding of the fights.
